My names Wyn, welcome to my blog! I’m an agender freelance artist in my late 20s. She/They

I draw and write for Final Fantasy 14 and (sometimes) Fallout, and reblog from many other fandoms, like Dragon Age, Star Wars, and Elder Scrolls. I also like cute animals (who doesn’t?) Can enjoy and will reblog most content/ships as long as they’re interesting.

I try to tag fairly clearly, followers are welcome to send me asks to tag specific things if they need them! Be aware that aged-up ships, whump, hurt/comfort, smut, and “dead doves” can occasionally be found within.

I went through and dug up all my yearly summaries of art going back to 2015. I’m so glad for doing these because its a lot of fun to see what changes and what stays consistent about my art over time. It’s kind of a scrapbook too because I can recall where I was when I drew so many of these pieces, what was happening in my life, who I was hanging out with, etc. Lots of good memories.

My favorite part is still 2018-2020 where you can see Fallout 4 take over my entire life.

2022 still feels rougher to me than past years all around, but that was when my health issues reached the point of severely impairing my ability to work at all and there was definitely a lot of transitioning going on, getting used to a new “normal.”

I think 2023 will be a good one!

I feel like this panel is crucial for understanding Wolfwood’s fear and, frankly, his disgust of Vash in this volume as he comes to terms with the fact that Vash actually isn’t human. Wolfwood understands what it means to want to die, to not fear death. He lived his entire life that way, too miserable to care. And yet. As miserable as he was, as much as he hated himself, when he was shot, he still felt fear. So when Vash, who has obviously been shot and a lot worse, jumps into danger to save complete strangers, Wolfwood is wondering where that fear is. How can Vash not feel it? If someone as jaded as Wolfwood can still feel it, surely only a monster would be able to live without it?

This is a really stupid statement, but the scene also highlights the value of a life. It’s like when you hear those stories of people who jump off the Golden Gate Bridge and immediately regret it. Pretty much every problem is solvable except death, and you only realize it when you face death. Wolfwood’s life was awful, but he would still rather have it than die. And that’s the crux of Vash’s philosophy. Death is the only thing you can’t undo. And that’s why you shouldn’t kill

I find that I’m indifferent to the new Tumblr desktop layout. Like, yes, it’s more cluttered, but on the other hand, the old layout made poor use of horizontal space for widescreen viewports and often obliged you to scroll down to reach commonly used controls, so from my perspective it kind of cancels out – and if nothing else, it represents a reversal of the trend toward homogenising the desktop UI with the mobile app UI. Let’s see where they’re going with this.

Lyrha and X'rhun have a small wedding, on a cliffside overlooking the sea in Gyr Abania.

Marriage isn’t of particular importance in Sunseeker culture, but they’re both well-traveled people who don’t live in traditional Seeker tribes anymore, anyway, and there was something a little (a lot) romantic in the idea of making a pledge to one another officially, in front of all their closest friends.

Lyrha didn’t realize how much it would mean to her until X'rhun proposed the idea

💬 When did my muse go on their first date?

Though men took Lyrha out for drinks and whatnot plenty of times before, SHE now considers her first real date to be with X'rhun. There… were drinks involved. They were between capers and eager to unwind. But a troupe of performers at the bar opened the way for a dancing competition. X'rhun tried to impress her with his Flamenco. Which… yes. It was attractive. She admits. But she absolutely could not resist trying to one-up him up with Step Dancing, and an entirely new rivalry between them was born.

So I’ll throw in some anecdotal trivia to start - Nahte doesn’t usually masturbate. And in fact had no interest in masturbation at all during his single years.

Before wanderlust took him from the Shroud, Nahte tried, a couple of times, to fulfill the role expected of men in his culture - a roving ‘breeding male’ who stopped in to visit the women’s beds now and then before continuing on his way.

He couldn’t perform. Even with a girl in heat, though it stirred a strong physical reaction, the sensation of having his senses dulled and dragged into sex with someone he didn’t have a strong trust or bond with, left him feeling horribly sick and he ultimately fled.

He was so ashamed that he didn’t try again for a very long time.

When he and A'mahl become a couple, they spend a lot more time developing a relationship and building up intimacy slowly. But A'mahl was still kind of stuck in that Obnoxious Tia phase and when they did actually try to consummate things, he was aggressive and rough which… did absolutely nothing for Nahte. He was uncomfortable and they had to stop.

Nahte and A'mahl both felt horrible and blamed themselves; Nahte all but concluded there was just something wrong with him and he wasn’t meant for such things.

A'mahl actually. Consulted prostitutes in Limsa Lominsa, where they were staying at the time, for help. Who advised him that Nahte might need a different kind of approach to lovemaking.

It took a little conversing, but Nahte was willing to give it one last try. And this time, A'mahl tried very hard to be patient and gentle. They took their time, it got pretty emotional. And for the first time in his life, Nahte actually managed to climax.

Art Fight attacks! It’s been REALLY good practice for me finding quick ways to do backgrounds and not overthink my linework. This is shaping up to be my most prolific year ever, despite my health issues, and seeing that progress feels amazing!
